England Focuses On World Cup 2019

August 10, 2017 by

Latest news from the world of rugby as far as the England team goes is that; their opposing teams have been confirmed for Rugby World Cup 2019.

This occurred after Tonga was able to seal their position in Pool C. As a result the list of opponents whom England would face in the forthcoming world cup are Tonga, US, Argentina and France.

There was a hat trick scored by Henry Seniloli which helped Fiji to defeat Samoa with a score of 38 to 16. This helped them to defend the title they achieved in World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup. Samoa needed to win the match if they wanted to get the second spot in Oceania but their failure resulted in Tonga gets a position in the line-up in Pool C.

For those who are not yet in the know, the World Cup would run from 20th September till 2nd November 2019 which would include 12 teams who have qualified as per their performances in the previous World Cup that they participated in. Teams like Samoans will still have a chance in the playoff winner qualifier match that would be held for Pool A. Their opponent team will be revealed next year.

Meanwhile, Eddie Jones focuses on increasing the quality of training for England players. Indeed, from the time he has taken up the role of being the principal coach for England, he has been relentless in transforming the team into the best performing team in the world of rugby. Last year saw his efforts bear fruit and now he needs to sustain those performance levels in the team. He had started with a four year plan and two years have already been completed with England retains the title of being the numero uno team in the world. Their next major target is retaining the title in the forthcoming World Cup.
