Messi – Widest Topic to Debate

Lionel Messi is almost always a topic of discussion as the Argentine player is a major figure in the world of football but recently he has been talked about more than usual as he is being linked with a move outside of Barcelona as the player is believed to not have a healthy relationship with certain staff members of the Spanish club and he was being rumored to leave the club but Messi has stepped up and denied all of those rumors and reports.

“I have heard lots of things being said about me before and now. They make it look like I am the one who is in charge here, when I am just another player. I have never demanded anything but to stay because I don’t have any intention of going.I heard people say that my dad had spoken to Chelsea, to City. It’s all lies.”Messi said as he shut down all of the recent rumors that have been spreading concerning his future with Barcelona.

On January 11, Barcelona hosted and received Athletic Madrid at the Camp Nou and it was a perfect moment for Lionel Messi and the team to demonstrate that even with all of the things that have been occurring within the managerial staff members of the club, on the pitch they are still able to produce impressive performances and this is what happened as Neymar, Suarez and Messi guided Barcelona to a 3-1 victory over Athletic Madrid.

Luis Enrique was under heavy criticism for some of his decisions on the pitch where he decided to leave Messi on the sidelines during a match which was played not so long ago and this triumph represents a sigh of relief for the manager as he can have a short break from all the things that have been happening inside and outside of the pitch.
